Sector leaders wanted for new G:up Executive Committee
G:up is still looking for sector leaders to stand for its new governing Executive Committee; fill in and return an attached self nomination form, or do so at G:up's AGM on 3rd November, where G:up members will vote candidates to the new Executive Committee.

G:up AGM
- Date: 3rd November, 12:20pm-12:50pm, to be held over lunch at G:up's FREE Local Voices - Influencing Change Conference
- Venue: Methodist Central Mission, 208 Corporation Street, Birmingham, B4 6QW,
G:up's new Executive Committee
Under G:up’s new constitution, G:up will have a new governance structure, so we are also now opening recruitment for a new G:up Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee will replace the current G:up Interim Steering Group and “will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of G:up and will meet at least four times per year to conduct business on behalf of the alliance.”

If this exciting challenge and opportunity interests you, please fill in and return the attached Self Nomination Form before or at the G:up conference (before the AGM begins at 12:20pm) on 3rd November.
As outlined in the attached Information Sheet, the Executive Committee will consist of a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 14 and we are particularly seeking colleagues with the following roles or areas of expertise.
You must nominate yourself in one of the following two categories and you may nominate yourself in both if applicable.
- 2 representatives of regional and national Infrastructure Support Organisations (with an interest/activity in CYPF)
- 4 representatives from CYPF VCS Infrastructure Support Organisations
The executive positions below are either not elected or selected by the Executive Committee
- 2 strategic representatives from within the West Midlands, representing CYPF VCS services. (to be elected at a later date)
- 1 representative from West Midlands Local Government Association (CYP lead) (not elected, selected if necessary by the Executive Committee)
- 1 Accountable Body representative (not elected)
- Non-Voting stakeholders and staff as appropriate (not elected)
- Up to 4 co-options to address skills/expertise/experience gaps (not elected, but selected if necessary by the Executive Committee)

Commitment
Meetings are usually held quarterly at bayc office in Birmingham, the next 12 months meeting dates are as follows:
- Thursday 15th Dec 2011 from 10 - 12
- Thursday 15th March 2012 from 10 - 12
- Thursday 7th June 2012 from 10 - 12
- Thursday 13th September 2012 from 10 - 12
The Executive Committee may occasionally hold additional meetings if they choose to.
