G:XL Training, Workforce Development and Quality Standards Learning Cluster

Learning Clusters are collaborative, interactive groups set up for each G:XL work stream; they bring together colleagues from across the CYP VCS and region, meeting regularly to share ideas, learning and collaborate to develop new projects and solutions.

 

The Learning Clusters for Training and Workforce Development and Quality Standards have been combined as these 2 areas of work share so much common ground and many staff wanted to attend both, so this cuts travel costs and time for individuals, especially if they would have to travel long distances.

G:XL Quality Standards Learning Cluster

As with each G:XL work stream, a Learning Cluster has been set up for Quality Standards, providing a space for anyone from across the West Midlands CYP VCS to share information, learning and ideas and help to develop new work and collaborative projects to benefit the sector in the area of organisational standards and quality.

Quality Standards Audit Report

Midlands Youth and G:up have produced a report outlining and analysing G:XL's audit of the Quality Standard schemes used by organisations in the West Midlands, children and young people's (CYP), voluntary and community sector (VCS).

  The report also explores what makes an effective organisation and what Quality Standard schemes are available, and adaptable to meet the needs of CYP VCS infrastructure organisations. Read more »

G:XL Training and Quality Sector Surveys

G:XL contract holders Midlands Youth began an audit in May 2010 to raise organisational and workforce standards for the benefit of the sector and young people in the region.

 

Two simple questionnaires were designed to capture the training needs and the use of quality assurance achemes across the West Midlands children and young people's voluntary sector.

Quality standards work stream

This work stream will map and collate information on quality standards, resources and good practice, and ensure that infrastructure organisations and their network members are trained, have access to and are using the self assessment toolkit, action planning and signposting service. Read more »
