Emergency First Aid at Work Course

A comprehensive first aid course over one day suitable for nominated first aiders in a workplace.

The course covers:

  • Health and safety (first aid) regulations
  • Managing an incident
  • The priorities of first aid
  • Treatment of an unconscious casualty
  • Resuscitation
  • Shock
  • Choking
  • Seizures
  • Bleeding
  • Common workplace injuries.

At the end of the course you will receive an EFAW qualification that lasts for 3 years.

The new 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course has been created which covers the most common risks. The syllabus for this course has been specified by the HSE and can only be taught by HSE approved providers of the First aid at work course or Ofqual (QCA) registered providers.

Course InformationThis is the minimum level of First Aid training for the workplace, appropriate for low-risk environments or for those acting in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider. This course is ideal for smaller workplaces, schools that present few health and safety risks. Read more »

The principles of DRABA Unconscious casualty Resuscitation Personal safety This workshop provides you with the essential skills to carry out emergency first aid. The workshop is a mixture of both practical and theory and certification is valid for three years.
