G:XL Quality Standards Learning Cluster

As with each G:XL work stream, a Learning Cluster has been set up for Quality Standards, providing a space for anyone from across the West Midlands CYP VCS to share information, learning and ideas and help to develop new work and collaborative projects to benefit the sector in the area of organisational standards and quality.

You can read more about the aims of the G:XL Quality Standards work stream in the G:XL section of the G:up wesbite: www.gup.org.uk/category/gxl/quality-standards.

In line with the contract of G:up's three-year, Big Lottery-funded, G:XL project, the first Learning Cluster meeting was held on 1st April 2011, following the completion of a sector audit on use of quality standard frameworks and quality needs and the creation of new tools for organisations including G:up's Signposting Database and Organisational Self Assessment Toolkit.

A meeting for a new Learning Cluster for the G:XL Training and Workforce Development work stream was also held on this day and due to the great overlap in issues and potential solutions between the 2 forums and as many staff from across the region were interested in travelling to both, it was decided to amalgamate the 2 Learning Clusters and in future hold just one meeting dealing with both areas.

Thereofre you can see the minutes of the first meeting attached, but for all upcoming meeting dates and news, please visit the following page, which is accessible via the Quality Standards and the Training and Workforce Development subsections of the G:up website's G:XL section:
