Open Source Technologies and How They Can Benefit Your Organisation
G:up ran this free, capacity-building, training session on open source on 13th April 2011, where sector organisations and colleagues were invited to enhance their skills and awareness of open source software and get a free disc containing leading programs to help them get started.
You can now download the slides from the event below as 2 pdfs (as the file size is very large) or download the presentation from Sideshare: www.slideshare.net/Outserve/gup2011-open-source?from=ss_embed.
The session was designed on the back of G:up’s Regional Information and Communications Audit, and is an important element in the training being rolled out to the children and young people's voluntary and community sector (CYP VCS) through G:XL’s Info and Comms work stream and in working towards the G:XL project’s goals of expanding infrastructure and workforce and organisational development.
G:up was able to attract top open source consultant, Phil Oakley of the Outserve website and publications to deliver the session.
