Who we are
The Family Strategic Partnership or FSP is a consortium of four organisations that have come together to share their vision and experience in the Family Voluntary and Community Sector. Led by Barnardo’s with Action for Prisoners’ Families, Children England and the Family and Parenting Institute. The partnership is funded by DfE to work together to support the sector until March 2013.
What we do
The Family Strategic Partnership has several key objectives. We will: work with the sector to grow long term capacity by providing training and support; work with government and others to influence policy by sharing the views and experiences of families and VCS organisations; keep the sector well-informed about policy developments and emerging opportunities; and connect organisations to promote efficiency, develop capacity and build resilience.
What we believe
We know that the most well established community-based organisations are having to work hard to survive in this age of austerity. At the same time the need to support families is at the heart of government thinking. We believe that the best intelligence about community needs and what works well with our most complex families, and the most creative solutions, are to be found within our sector.
