Project U-Turn Programs for 2012
Project U-Turn @ The Transformation Centre have got some new things going on in 2012.
Project U-Turn was set up in 2010 to work with Young People aged 10-19 and living in the West Midlands. Since our launch we have delivered many programs for young people, which have involved music, media, maths, literacy, art and personal development.
The current programs that we are running are:
- YOUTH club – On-going free youth club for 13-19 year olds - We have a PS3, Wii, Pool Table and computers to use free of charge.
- STUDIO APPRENTICE – FREE use of our music studio. Learn how to make beats, record your song, and more. All you have to do is book a session in advance! Outdoor adventure – FREE Six week program with Ackers Adventure involving Skiing, climbing and abseiling, Archery and much more! Enterprise academy – FREE Business and Enterprise programme for those wanting to know how to set up their own business and market a product or service.
- The F.A.M Project – FREE Self Development project for young females, who want advice in careers, education and personal issues or just a place to go to meet new people.
- BOYS Brigade – Activity programmes for young males to take part in ranging from physical fitness to educational topics, which are underpinned by Christian Faith. There is an Open Day for this on 8Th February 2012 at The Transformation Centre between 3pm – 6pm.
- Jobs club – Drop in sessions for anyone aged 16 and over and need help looking for a job. We will help you write your CV, give you interview tips and get you ready for work!
