FREE Regional CYP Participation Event, Sat 21st Jan

Come and participate in our FREE, thought-provoking and inspiring event!  Open to all voluntary, community and statutory sector staff and volunteers, working with children and young people (CYP). This event is suitable for a variety of workers including Youth Workers, Play workers, Arts and Learning Officers, Outreach and Community Worker, who work across the West Midlands.

The keynote speech is by Dr. Jason Wood, Senior Lecturer, De Montfort University, Youth & Community Division, and guest speaker Liam Preston, British Youth Council.

The event will offer inspiring speakers and thought provoking and interactive workshops, enabling you to share ideas, network  and celebrate your work regionally, whilst assisting you in your participation journey,

Workshops include:

  • Making participation activities accessible for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
  • Participation through journalism – Lee Atkins, Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs
  • Participation: Recognising, celebrating and awarding – Faye Stephens and Ruthe Spottiswoode, Warwickshire Children and Voluntary Youth Service
  • Encouraging participation through visual arts – Clare Mitchell. Warwickshire Youth Arts Network
  • Encouraging participation through digital media – Richard Elms, Herbert Art Gallery and Museum
  • Participation and the natural environment – speaker to be confirmed

A free activity at Ackers Adventure for your organisation as part of the follow up event!
