G:XL Voice and Influence - Strategic Representation work stream
This work stream aims to review, support and develop representation for CYP VCS organisations, including underrepresented organisations, at strategic forums in the West Midlands, to increase their influence on decision making, policy and processes.
Resources and events
Mapping CYP VCS strategic representation in every West Midlands local authority, analysing changing and emerging structures, good practice, barriers and underrepresentation issues faced by organisations and strategic representatives
Based on the findings of the above Audit Report, the action plan is designed to support the CYP VCS, by developing the role of CYP VCS strategic representatives, improving and increasing representation, including of underrepresented organisations and exploring sustainability beyond 2011/2012

Learning Cluster
The Learning Cluster is a forum where practionioners can discuss and support the development of CYP VCS strategic representation in the West Midlands.
The first meeting was on 27th Jan 2012, Sue Thomas from found the first meeting exciting and feels that this group has real potential for doing something positive, challenging and active.
The next meeting is to be held in the bayc conference centre on 19th March, if you were unable to attend the first meeting but would like ot take part in future meetings, find out more via G:up's Training and Events Calendar.
